When the glass beads were no longer available to the Montessori community in the United States, the Materials Company of Boston developed the individual nylon beads to assure that the Montessori math curriculum continued as designed by Maria Montessori.

The Materials Company of Boston has developed a full line of classroom furnishings, including solid hard-wood shelving with adjustable middle shelves, tables with adjustable legs and chairs. All of our furnishings and cabinets require no assembly. We have recently developed an innovative sink unit for classroom water supply which is complete with two 5 gallon containers for fresh water and waste water; no assembly required.
